Plastics

Why Vapour Blasting Works Better for Plastics?

  • No damage – Unlike chemical paint strippers, which can soften plastic or even melt the surface, vapour blasting is far gentler.

  • Cleaner results – Removes old paint completely rather than just sanding over it.

  • Better finish – Prepares the surface properly for a long-lasting top coat.

Achieving the Best Finish

  1. Vapour blast to remove all paint and contaminants.

  2. Apply a transparent plastic primer to ensure good adhesion.

  3. Spray on the top colour coat.

  4. Finish with a clear lacquer for a smooth, durable finish.

Since then, I’ve added plastic components to the list of items I can restore — producing a far superior finish compared to sanding and repainting alone.
